The reason why we do what we do. Lessons learned from the Covid-19 pandemic and how it has impacted our services and specifically our use of technology to engage and inspire utilizing our talents and skills.
Everything we do, as servants that lift up and create the sanctuary, must be driven by a sense of Love for those you are serving. Even our services that have no personal person to person contact, the level of planning, effort and excellence in delivery communicate either love or apathy, dedication in your craft or indifference toward it. How you do what you do no matter what it is communicates that you either love what you are doing and the people you are doing it for, or you are inconvenienced and doing what you do out of a sense of duty or compulsion.
"If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing."
(NIV) 1 Corinthians 13:1-3
"Even in the case of lifeless things that make sounds, such as the pipe or harp, how will anyone know what tune is being played unless there is a distinction in the notes? Again, if the trumpet does not sound a clear call, who will get ready for battle? So it is with you. Unless you speak intelligible words with your tongue, how will anyone know what you are saying? You will just be speaking into the air."
(NIV) 1 Corinthians 14:7-9
